Mr. Snowman, What About Me

Grover got a ‘Sock Monkey’ - Lily got her bones. I’ve been good, and all I pray - is someone takes me home!

As I have been painting these cards there has been a growing collection of snowmen with Corgi's, Pug's, children, etc., very round and rubenesque snowmen I might add.

Santa's New Elves

Since most of his elves are sick with the flu, Santa thought this year he'd try something new. But these little puppies would much rather play, than help with the toys to fill up his sleigh!

This was great fun to paint, I love being able to paint a story line with all the little details like the Corgi sleeping inside the bag. When figuring out the different positions of the puppies I used tracing paper, sketched out each little guy and moved them around Santa until I found a workable design. My favorite Corgi puppy is the one on Santa's foot, love the fun loving grin.

Country Brunch

This is a very Retro image. I love Nasturtiums and that 1950's look. The inspiration came partially from the old tablecloths used during that period. You know the ones with the cherries in the corners. I borrowed the "feel of that period" by using the orange and blues, added some black and white checks and "Country Brunch".

Christmas Gift of Peace

I have a soft spot in my heart for this image, this is Maggie my second Corgi. She and I had a special bond.

Frosty Friends

It was the hats on this painting that made it fun. The inspiration came from a childrens clothing catalog that featured these brightly colored scarves, mittens and hats. I don't know if anyone really wears them.
