But these little puppies would much rather play, than help with the toys to fill up his sleigh! <p></p><p>This was great fun to paint, I love being able to paint a story line with all the little details like the Corgi sleeping inside the bag. When figuring out the different positions of the puppies I used tracing paper, sketched out each little guy and moved them around Santa until I found a workable design. My favorite Corgi puppy is the one on Santa's foot, love the fun loving grin. </p><p></p>Holly Zemakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04768967840938674453noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4025219210136385316.post-14243045450983951162009-03-09T16:21:00.000-07:002009-03-13T15:28:52.984-07:00Country Brunch<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_oUXKP0S8B1I/SbWmggdyekI/AAAAAAAAASI/mKxWS9lKqiI/s1600-h/Country+Brunch+RS400+to+72dpi+-+For+Holly%27s+Blog+-+504+x+370+pixels.png"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5311334412954270274" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 289px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 204px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_oUXKP0S8B1I/SbWmggdyekI/AAAAAAAAASI/mKxWS9lKqiI/s320/Country+Brunch+RS400+to+72dpi+-+For+Holly%27s+Blog+-+504+x+370+pixels.png" border="0" /></a> This is a very Retro image. I love Nasturtiums and that 1950's look. The inspiration came partially from the old tablecloths used during that period. You know the ones with the cherries in the corners. I borrowed the "feel of that period" by using the orange and blues, added some black and white checks and "Country Brunch".Holly Zemakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04768967840938674453noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4025219210136385316.post-92224061123572969022008-10-12T04:23:00.000-07:002009-03-13T15:28:22.768-07:00Trim'n the Tree<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_oUXKP0S8B1I/SPHfH4KxFiI/AAAAAAAAAMk/f5WETFeIj4Q/s1600-h/Etsy+440+x+600+Pixel+-+72dpi+Greeting+Card+FRONT+PNG.png"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5256227566547703330" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_oUXKP0S8B1I/SPHfH4KxFiI/AAAAAAAAAMk/f5WETFeIj4Q/s320/Etsy+440+x+600+Pixel+-+72dpi+Greeting+Card+FRONT+PNG.png" border="0" /></a> Dusty the Crow - and local "Tree Expert" teaches Maggie and Lily - our two little Corgis the right way to string Christmas Garland with lots of help from thier jolly new neighbor Mr. White - Snowman Extrodinaire!<br /><br />For purchase information - <a href="http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=8050047">Click here<br /></a><div></div>Holly Zemakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04768967840938674453noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4025219210136385316.post-84723827767992937542008-10-11T04:34:00.001-07:002009-03-13T15:27:40.816-07:00For All Creatures<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_oUXKP0S8B1I/SPCPpP_ctPI/AAAAAAAAAMc/f7dOxxNn4J4/s1600-h/Cat+%26+Pumpkin+72dpi.png"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255858703971431666" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_oUXKP0S8B1I/SPCPpP_ctPI/AAAAAAAAAMc/f7dOxxNn4J4/s320/Cat+%26+Pumpkin+72dpi.png" border="0" /></a><br /><div></div><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255858470622659714" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_oUXKP0S8B1I/SPCPbqsxBII/AAAAAAAAAMU/-5JIeXIPZQM/s320/For+All+Creatures+-+72dpi.jpg" border="0" /> Fall is my favorite season - and I love pumpkins - whether its pumkin pie or carving for Halloween. </div><div></div><div>For purchase information - <a href="http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=16051997">click here<br /></a></div><div></div>Holly Zemakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04768967840938674453noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4025219210136385316.post-72429261711560347772008-09-14T10:46:00.000-07:002008-09-22T13:23:59.781-07:00Christmas Gift of Peace<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_oUXKP0S8B1I/SM1OAy56-ZI/AAAAAAAAAK8/cSW0xO5zWMc/s1600-h/Christmas-Gift-Of-Peace.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5245934916528175506" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_oUXKP0S8B1I/SM1OAy56-ZI/AAAAAAAAAK8/cSW0xO5zWMc/s320/Christmas-Gift-Of-Peace.jpg" border="0" /></a> I have a soft spot in my heart for this image, this is Maggie my second Corgi. The inspiration came from a childrens clothing catalog that featured these brightly colored scarves, mittens and hats. So far there is a Halloween, Valentine and Christmas image. They are like a puzzle with different elements that come together as one unit. There will be more of these in my future.<br /><div></div>Holly Zemakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04768967840938674453noreply@blogger.com0
